The TCSF-I Automatic Dynamic Wheel Inspection System is installed along railway tracks traversed by rolling stock. Employing array-based ultrasonic flaw detection technology, it performs dynamic and automated inspections while locomotives and railcars are in motion. The system focuses specifically on detecting various defects within the wheel rim and spoke areas—including circumferential rim cracks, radial cracks, and severe spalling—thereby ensuring the safe operation of locomotive and rolling stock wheels. Suitable for the dynamic monitoring of wheels on all types of locomotives, EMUs, passenger coaches, and freight wagons, the system can be integrated with modules for dimensional measurement, rail-base imaging, and pantograph inspection to form a comprehensive, integrated inspection suite.
